Learn More About American Western Bonding Co Inc

Have a bond-related question? We have the answer! Check out our FAQs below to learn more about our company and services.

  • Why do I need to use a bail bondsman?

You do not necessarily need to use a bail bondsman to post bail for an individual. However, if you do not have the money to post the entire amount of the bail, that is when you would need their services. A bail bondsman provides the money on behalf of the defendant in order to get them out of jail. The bail bondsman is essentially vouching for the defendant that they will go to court.

According to Civil Rights Corps, in federal trials, almost 51,000 people are incarcerated pretrial. Don't let your loved one be one of them with American Western Bonding Co Inc.

  • What do you charge to bond an individual out of jail?

We charge 10% of bail bonds with a minimum of $100. This may vary depending on each individual case. We do accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

  • Do I need a bail bondsman for a cash-only bond?

No. For cash-only bail bonds, you will pay the entire cash bond amount directly to the jail.

  • Do you take payment plans?

No, but we do accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

  • Why do I need an indemnitor?

An indemnitor is an individual that co-signs on a bail bond contract for the secure release of the defendant. They will take responsibility for the defendant until they have completed all court proceedings and the case is settled. If the defendant does not complete all court-mandated obligations, the indemnitor will be financially responsible for the full amount of the bail bonds.

  • Why do I need to provide collateral on a bond?

Collateral could be required on more complex bail bonds, including felony charges or when the bail is very high, to secure the bond. Collateral can be but is limited to a property deed, cash, or credit card.

Collateral will be returned to the appropriate individual once the defendant has completed all court-mandated obligations. If the defendant does not complete their obligations, the collateral will not be returned, but instead, be used to compensate the court for the full amount of the bond.
